Welcome to IvyNine a calm, light-filled hair studio created for those who value beautiful hair, thoughtful care, and a moment to slow down.

IvyNine is designed to feel less like a traditional salon and more like a welcoming home. Inspired by English hospitality and natural textures, the space is warm, elegant, and intentionally unhurried. From the plant-filled basin area to our curated selection of locally sourced specialty teas and beautifully made coffee, every detail is considered to help you relax and feel genuinely looked after.

Our services focus on luxurious, healthy hair, including lived-in blondes, rich brunette tones, and bespoke colour transformations, all created with longevity and hair integrity in mind. We work exclusively with Kevin Murphy, using advanced bond-building technology with every colour service, alongside a tailored menu of luxury hair and scalp treatments to support long-term hair health.

IvyNine was founded by Amy Cox-Cahill, a senior stylist with over 17 years of industry experience. Amy trained in London before making Christchurch home over a decade ago, bringing with her a refined eye, a calm approach, and a deep commitment to personalised, wearable hair. Ongoing education and attention to detail ensure every client receives a service tailored to their individual style, lifestyle, and hair goals.
